Yahweh Knows Me!

Psalm 139 reminds us that God is all-knowing, all-present, all-powerful, and concerned with every detail of our lives. God's concern for us reaches from the time of our conception to our eternal existence beyond this world. We also see God's providential control over life, which protects the righteous and condemns and ultimately destroys the wicked.

The Book of Praises

Another name for the book of Psalms is "The Book of Praises." Although many of the psalms were likely written by David, Israel's greatest king, there were a number of other authors as well. In fact, archaeological findings indicate that the development of the book of Psalms may have extended in time from Moses to Malachi.
